AMS maintains workers' compensation insurance in accordance with the law. The Company and its insurance carrier do not cover and are not liable for the payment of workers' compensation benefits for any injury which arises out of an employee's voluntary participation in any off-duty recreational social or athletic activity which is not a part of the employee's work-related duties. The Company and its carrier vigorously defend all fraudulent claims, including denying fraudulent claims and pursuing criminal actions against those who file fraudulent claims. Any person who makes or causes to be made any knowingly false or fraudulent material statement or material misrepresentation for the purpose of obtaining or denying workers' compensation benefits or payments is guilty of a felony. A violation of this law is punishable by imprisonment, or by a fine, or both. Additional civil penalties may be in order.
